1. Organisation Unit Purpose (why does the unit exist? What are the results the unit is expected to deliver?)
The unit is responsible for building, implementing, and enforcing common structures and guidelines for enterprise architecture and solutions practices, standards, emerged patterns and technologies to enable world-class solutions delivery and build resilient, agile and secured architecture landscape aligned with the organization’s strategy.
Achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering architecture solutions that provide exceptional business value to internal users and the company’s customers as well as ensuring common architectural standards across the Group. The chapter maintains all architectural blueprints and architects working in agile, platform, Infrastructure & data teams across Group IT.
2. Job Purpose (Why does the job exist? What is the unique contribution made by the job holder?)
The Senior Architect reports to the Head of Architecture but is also accountable to the Delivery Head & Lead in the business/functional domain (aka Matrix Manager) that is being served. The individual is expected to possess deep technical expertise, potential leadership qualities & be solution oriented.
Domain Competencies:
Develop and maintain architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices
Design and implement end-to-end solutions for requirements from product owners and business stakeholders
Developing and designing of requirements for web apps, mobile apps, microservices and its associated ecosystem in consultation with involved internal departments and subsidiaries.
Utilize best practices for app design, user interface, and overall architecture.
Ensuring that all designs are created according to internal development best practices and based on user journeys, wireframes & architectural patterns used by the company.
5+ years of experience designing applications (web & mobile), microservices & APIs.
5+ years of experience working with cloud native technologies such as containers, service mesh, Kubernetes/OpenShift and virtualization
3+ years of work experience in Cyber/Information Security.
Collaborate with the Information security team to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of bank’s data assets

Technical Competencies
Strong all-round knowledge of software engineering, architecture & cyber security
Experience with building end-end design patterns & solutions by ensuring a balance of user experience, performance, resiliency, reliability & security
Experience integrating an application with surrounding eco-systems & technologies including but not limited to mobile apps, micro-services, containers/ cloud-native technologies, event-streams, APIs, message-brokers and the like
Deep understanding of architectural patterns like micro-services, APIs & app development (mobile and application)
Deep understanding of security concepts like Authentication, Authorization, Encryption, Logging/Monitoring, Application Security (OWASP Top10), Infrastructure Security, Cloud Security & Regulations
Good experience of enterprise architecture tools (Enterprise Architect), data modeling tools.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as OpenShift, Azure, AWS & OCI
