Job Title: Cloud DevOps Engineer
Duration: 12 Months (Extendable | Long-Term on Marc Ellis payroll)
Location: Onsite – Dubai, UAE
Role Overview:
Marc Ellis is looking for a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to join a leading client in Dubai. You will be
responsible for managing deliverables such as building and executing application pipelines, onboarding
applications, and delivering infrastructure solutions via automation and self-service. The ideal candidate is
hands-on, collaborative, and thrives in Agile + DevOps environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for deployments across Kubernetes, OpenShift, or public
clouds (Azure, AWS, OCI).
• Automate deployment/configuration tasks to ensure scalable and consistent environments.
• Collaborate with platform and product teams to educate and onboard applications to the new
platform.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible.
• Drive adoption of DevOps practices and help streamline product delivery.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure/application issues with development and operations teams.
• Ensure secure and scalable authentication/authorization for microservices.
• Integrate DevOps and SecOps tools within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube,
Checkmarx, Sysdig).
• Work with logging/monitoring tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana) for observability.
• Manage API integrations and support OAuth2.0 authentication standards.
• Work across full software development lifecycle—from inception to delivery.
Must-Have Skills:
• 7+ years total engineering or operations experience, with 5+ years in DevOps-focused roles.
• Solid experience with DevOps methodologies and tooling.
• Strong expertise with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and container technologies.
• Deep hands-on experience with CI/CD (Jenkins Shared Libraries, Groovy, Python).
• Experience configuring public cloud services (Azure, AWS, OCI).
• Familiarity with GitOps tools like ArgoCD.
• Strong background in infrastructure, security, and monitoring solutions.
• Knowledge in OAuth2.0, REST/SOAP APIs, and integrating APIs in pipelines.
• Practical experience with IaC tools like Terraform/Bicep.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
