Job Title: Senior Product Designer (Web/Desktop)
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Engagement: Contractual
Duration: 6 Months (Extendable | Long-term on Marc Ellis Payroll)

Job Summary:

The candidate will join the Design team within the Digital Office organization and will play a key role in crafting high-quality digital experiences. This role involves designing user flows and interfaces in line with established design principles, best practices, and modern design patterns. The candidate will be responsible for creating visually compelling concepts and assets that define the overall look and feel of digital products. This includes guiding content development and ensuring design consistency across platforms. The role requires close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of designers, researchers, technologists, and business stakeholders to bring innovative and user-centric solutions to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Leadership
• Own the overall visual direction of the product, ensuring alignment with the Head of Design's vision.
• Define and drive the brand personality across all creative executions.
• Ensure cohesive product experiences that reflect strategic design intent.

Product Design
• Translate requirements into wireframes and user journeys.
• Collaborate with designers, researchers, and UI engineers to co-create UX within Agile delivery teams.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to clarify requirements and support design decisions.

Planning
• Estimate design efforts based on project scope and complexity.
• Plan and prioritize design workstreams, focusing on user experience and information architecture.
• Develop structural design approaches by analyzing content strategy, user needs, and business objectives.

Assessment
• Convert feature-based requirements into actionable design backlog items.
• Conduct user testing activities such as card sorting, tree testing (Treejack), and focus groups to validate design assumptions.
• Evaluate existing digital experiences for UX consistency, IA clarity, and navigation effectiveness.

Collaboration

• Partner with fellow designers and business stakeholders to shape intuitive and effective digital experiences.
• Co-create solutions with design peers and support them during front-end development handovers.
• Foster close collaboration between design and engineering teams to ensure design fidelity.

Communication & Feedback
• Clearly articulate design decisions to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain a strong attention to visual detail and structured organization of design assets.
• Actively engage in design feedback loops with engineers, analysts, and product owners.
• Adapt designs based on constructive criticism and iterative input.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interactive Media Design, or a related field.
• A graduate degree (MSc/MA) is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience in Design Thinking methodologies and delivering creative outputs.
• Proficient with industry-standard design and prototyping tools.
• Solid foundation in UX/UI design or related disciplines, with hands-on, practical application.
• 8+ years of professional experience in design-related roles.
• Experience within the Banking or Financial Services industry is preferred.
• Exposure to projects in the GCC region is considered an asset.

Knowledge & Skills
• Deep understanding and practical application of Human-Centered Design principles.
• Experience in Native Mobile App UI Design.
• Strong capabilities in Web Design, with a user-first approach.
