Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Engineer to join our Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE) team, specializing in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Red Hat OpenShift platforms. The role focuses on deploying, configuring, and supporting container orchestration solutions, integrating CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native environments.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and maintain AKS and OpenShift platforms for enterprise workloads.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, developers, and system administrators to deploy Kubernetes-based solutions.
Plan and execute container migration strategies, assessing risks and performance impacts.
Evaluate and implement Kubernetes-native tools and Azure services to optimize scalability, security, and performance.
Configure and manage containerized workloads with high availability and compliance to enterprise standards.
Integrate CI/CD pipelines with AKS and OpenShift using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitOps workflows.
Create HLD/LLD designs, migration plans, and operational documentation.
Monitor cluster performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations using Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, or ELK Stack.
Stay updated on industry trends, Kubernetes ecosystem, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AKS, OpenShift, and container technologies.
Mandatory Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
4+ years of hands-on experience with AKS and OpenShift.
Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, container lifecycle, and microservices deployment.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm) and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and GitOps workflows.
Knowledge of networking, ingress controllers, service mesh (Istio), and persistent storage in Kubernetes.
Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Azure Monitor).
Understanding of security best practices (RBAC, secrets management, container image scanning).
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Kubernetes Engineer Associate.
Experience with large-scale enterprise cloud deployments.
Hands-on expertise in automation and cloud-native application architecture.
