Treasury Audit
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Policies, Processes & Procedures
Lead and manage complex audit engagements within Treasury, Investments, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, and Finance.
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance frameworks.
Provide expert guidance and recommendations for improving operational efficiency and compliance.
Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to senior management.
Mentor and develop junior audit staff.
5. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 7-11 years of progressive experience in internal audit within the banking or financial services sector, with a significant focus on Treasury, Market Risk, and/or Finance audit.
Education & Certifications:
Proven experience in a leadership or senior role, managing audit teams and complex engagements.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from a reputable university.
Mandatory Professional Certification:
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA); or
Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent international qualification.
Additional certifications such as FRM or CFA is an added advantage.
6.Technical Knowledge areas:
Treasury:
Front Office activities including money markets, foreign exchange, fixed income, and derivatives trading.
Treasury Middle, Hedge Accounting and Back Office processes.
Investment Portfolios:
Comprehensive understanding of investment strategies, instruments, and associated risks.
Market Risk Management:
In-depth knowledge of market risk identification, measurement (e.g., VaR, stress testing), monitoring, and reporting.
Familiarity with various market risk models and methodologies.
Liquidity Risk Management:
Strong understanding of liquidity risk frameworks, measurement (e.g., LCR, NSFR), monitoring, and stress testing.
Experience with funding strategies and contingency funding plans.
Regulatory Compliance:
Extensive knowledge of Basel Accords, including Pillar 1, 2, and 3 requirements, particularly related to Market Risk and Liquidity Risk.
Familiarity with Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) regulations and other relevant local banking regulations.
Internal Audit Methodologies:
Proven experience in applying leading internal audit practices, methodologies, and standards within a major financial institution.
Ability to identify control deficiencies, assess risk, and formulate effective recommendations.

Proficiency in audit management software and data analytics tools is a plus.
Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is a significant advantage.
