Job description – Vendor Associate (VA)
Reporting to the Vendor Manager (VM)
Researching new Vendors in the market, arranging meetings, range selection
Building and maintaining long-lasting relationship with Vendors
Reviewing new Vendors and their products, Rage management
Negotiating product pricing, margins, offers with Vendors
Collect the Vendor on-boarding documents and product catalogue in the prescribed format
Be presentable as the face of hoot.ae in front of Vendor with quality
Submit Daily, Weekly and Monthly work reports assigned by VM
Ensure best Pricing of products in hoot platform at any given point of time
Responsible for Category performance and Profitability
Responsible for Quality of products and their authenticity
Research competition and make sure the hoot platform has same or better products/offers
Be first in the market with latest products launches and offers
Pro-active in terms of seasonality and product offerings to the customers
Developing and implementing Vendor selection programs
Initiating the contract terms liaising with Vendor Manager to finalise
Communicating vendor responsibilities and obligations
Acting as an intermediary between Vendors and the hoot platform
Troubleshooting of any Vendor issues on time
Return logistics to be well communicated and managed with Vendors
Initiate product promotion plans with Vendors as per the seasonality
Updating, renewing, and suggesting the cancellation of vendor contracts whenever needed
Updating contract terms of existing Vendors
Ensuring all Vendor activities adhere to our company policies
Participating in training programs and company events
Maintaining and updating all Vendor documentation
Suggesting Vendor management processes, policies, and methods
Develop and maintain the quality of work, relation with Vendors
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Business Management/Commerce/Supply Chain Management or equivalent
Previous work experience in Ecommerce Marketplace in Vendor Sourcing team
Good knowledge in Vendor on-boarding procedures, Vendor Management skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Fluency in English language; Arabic is preferable
Valid UAE driving license, willing to travel across UAE to meet Vendors
Good research skills
Good knowledge about UAE market sellers, categories, products and places
Good computer skills in MS office packages, Seller dashboard, ERP softwares
Ability to multitask, willing to work extra hours when required
Good communication, interpersonal skills and presentation skills
Quick decision making and problems solving skills
Having an eye on detail
Should be a Go getter to meet the timelines
Ability to meet dead-lines with quality of work
