Title: Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Specialist
Department: Information Technology
Direct report to: Head of IT Support

Location: Abu Dhabi
Job purpose:
To operate independently and as part of a team to ensure our software, hardware, and related components are protected from cyber-attacks. Developing security systems, analyzing current systems for vulnerabilities, and handling all cyber-attacks in an efficient and effective manner. Focus on network architecture and design with responsibility for the network upkeep, maintenance, and administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional
Service delivery support of active LAN, WLAN, WAN networking equipment and hosting services.
Service delivery support of current and evolving systems and network infrastructural support technologies, for example: RADIUS, NAC, DNS, DHCP, databases, network, and systems management systems.
Project Management of network, cyber and infrastructure projects.
Operations Support – Participation in the Systems and Networks Operation Centre incident response, support ticket handling and on-call function.
Develop unique, effective security strategies for software systems, networks, data centers, and hardware
Implement/build-in security systems to software, hardware, and components
Research best ways to secure company-wide IT infrastructure
Build firewalls to protect network infrastructures
QA software and hardware for security vulnerabilities and risks
Monitor software for external intrusions, attacks, and hacks
Close off security vulnerability in the case of an attack
Identify cyber attackers, report to upper management, and cooperate with police or other legal forces to detain perpetrator
Work independently or as part of a team as needed
Undertake any other related duties as assigned by line manager
Operational
Institutional Strategy
Implement the plans to ensure seamless operations that facilitate the achievement of the University’s strategic objectives.
Provide data in a timely manner and support in preparing reports to the management and recommend operational improvements to support in planning, decision making and continuous improvement.
Financial & Organizational Management
Provide budget inputs to formulate section budget and submit for approval and further consolidation.
Stakeholder Management
Coordinate the collaboration with and engagement of relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective achievement of programs and objectives in line with the section’s strategic objectives

Purpose
Ensure coordination with the Legal Affairs department to review and assess any IT Services legal related documents
Ensure coordination with the Internal Audit to ensure compliance with audit standards and correction of any audit findings.
Ensure coordination with Marketing and Communication to organize and conduct awareness sessions internally for the University’s employees about optimal utilization of technology for the enhancement of overall business delivery.
Ensure coordination with other departments to respond to their requests and to fulfil their business requirements.

Purpose
Ensure adherence and alignment with ADSSA Authority in all matters that relates to IT security.
Ensure provision of IT tools to support the University in delivering its services.
Ensure provision of IT capability building solutions to the University’s employees
Academic Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent. Cyber skills accreditation an advantage.
Professional Experience
4-6 years of experience. Strong IT skills and a deep understanding of cyber hacker methodology
