Title: Digital Communication Specialist

Job purpose:
To execute the communication strategy and plan with an aim to strengthen the university corporate identity and stimulate understanding & engagement around its values, business strategies and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional
Support the Head of Marketing and Communication in the development of the University’s marketing and communications strategy in partnership with key stakeholders to drive the university’s brand awareness and advise on internal communications matters.
Build relationships at all levels to proactively identify business needs and requirements for communications.
Implement and monitor the university’s corporate style and identity throughout the communications. This includes creating standards, templates, marketing material and other tools to increase efficiency & conformity.
Manage the content of the university’s website in coordination with the Academic & Research and Outreach & Engagement Divisions and other Organizational Units.
Write and edit key external communication materials, using a style that is engaging, concise and appropriate in tone for the university’s audience; ensure accuracy of information and quality control over outgoing messages
Maintain and manage social media interaction on platforms such as Facebook and Twitter to enhance communication with the public; ensures compliance with social media standards
Maintain contact information with the news media to ensure accuracy of disseminated information.
Prepare content for a variety of communication channels including web, email, print, video, and presentations.
Assesses public attitudes toward the university and its Artificial Intelligence programmes.
Prepare and disseminate news releases regarding university events, programmes in conjunction with respective Organizational Units, coordinate media conferences, and arranges media coverage for special events.
Ensure consistent use of the University’s brand across all marketing and communication channels.
Develop and manage the content plan for internal communication in line with strategic and operational requirements.
Manage internal communications projects alongside stakeholders.
Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communication channels for communicating with faculty and staff internally, ensuring the alignment of internal and external messages and communications.
Interpret internal communications data and user feedback to evaluate and improve internal communications and employee engagement.
Support the Head of Marking and Communication in evaluating the effectiveness of communication solutions and identify the appropriate interventions in partnership with various stakeholders.
Ensure continuous improvement across all services of the marketing and communication function.
Undertake any other related duties as assigned by line manager.
Operational
Institutional Strategy
Implement the plans to ensure seamless operations that facilitate the achievement of the University’s strategic objectives.
Provide data in a timely manner and support in preparing reports to the management and recommend operational improvements to support in planning, decision making and continuous improvement.
Financial & Organizational Management
Implement corrective action as necessary and in line with the approved governance process to ensure complete adherence to section budget and highlight any deviation from the plan in a timely manner.
Provide budget inputs to formulate section budget and submit for approval and further consolidation.
Stakeholder Management
Manage the collaboration with and engagement of relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective achievement of programs and objectives in line with the section’s strategic objectives

Purpose
Coordinate with Outreach & Engagement Division to plan and coordinate the design and production of all Marketing and Communication solutions to promote the research agenda of the university both nationally and internationally.
Coordinate with the students Affairs Department to proactive attraction and recruitment strategy to increase the number and quality of students’ intake.
Coordinate with Career and Alumni Services to execute marketing and communication strategies to build and maintain relationships with alumni and offer advisory and career counselling programs and coaching to graduating students
Ensure coordination with the Internal Audit Organizational Unit to ensure compliance with audit standards and correction of any audit findings.
Coordinate with Partnership Management Organizational Unit to coordinate the logistics and protocols of any partnership agreements with local and international stakeholders including agreements with university for faculty and student exchange, agreements with multinational organizations, academic institutions, research labs, accreditation and certification bodies, copyright organizations, etc.….
Ensure fulfilment of the Marketing & Communication activities that enables the faculty affairs to deliver its business requirements.
Coordinate with other departments to respond to their marketing and Communications business requirements.

Purpose
To align with the government rules, standards and processes of media outreach
To collaborate with government entities on agreements with the University to promote the Artificial Intelligence sector’s growth.
Ensure provision of media and PR services for the University.
Academic Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
A master’s degree will be preferable
