Role Overview

Invest Bank is seeking a highly skilled and business-focused Business Analyst with strong Retail Banking experience in the UAE market. This role will function as a Mini Product Owner, working closely with business, technology, operations, and delivery teams to drive digital banking initiatives from requirements gathering through implementation.

The ideal candidate must possess strong expertise in translating business needs into implementation-ready functional requirements, while ensuring alignment with Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) regulations, customer journeys, and banking best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a Mini Product Owner for assigned banking initiatives and digital journeys.
• Engage with stakeholders across Retail Banking, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Technology teams to gather and refine requirements.
• Write and manage business user stories on a day-to-day basis, including detailed acceptance criteria.
• Document business intent into detailed, testable, and implementation-ready requirements for:
  • Banking journeys
  • Business processes
  • Rules and validations
  • System integrations
• Create and maintain:
  • User Stories
  • Acceptance Criteria
  • Process Maps / Workflow Diagrams
  • Traceability Matrices
  • UAT Scenarios & Test Cases
  • Defect Triage Documentation
• Support onboarding initiatives including:
  • Customer onboarding journeys
  • KYC workflows
  • ICP (Individual Customer Profile) requirements
• Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure accurate understanding and implementation of requirements.
• Ensure all requirements and solutions comply with CBUAE ecosystem and regulatory expectations.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support UAT execution, business validations, and production rollout activities.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and delivery teams to prioritize and refine backlog items.
• Analyze gaps, identify process improvement opportunities, and recommend optimized banking solutions.

Key Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience in Banking, with strong exposure to Retail Banking.
• Mandatory UAE Banking experience.
• Proven experience working as a Business Analyst within banking transformation or digital banking programs.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Writing detailed business and functional requirements
  • User Story creation and backlog management
  • Customer onboarding journeys
  • ICP requirements
  • Banking process mapping
  • Integration documentation
• Deep understanding of CBUAE regulations, banking ecosystem, and compliance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Agile / Scrum methodologies
  • JIRA / Confluence or similar tools
  • UAT coordination and defect management
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to bridge business and technology teams effectively.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Digital Banking platforms and Core Banking systems
• Experience working on omnichannel banking journeys
• Knowledge of APIs, integrations, and middleware concepts
• Prior experience with UAE-based banks highly preferred
