Capital Market/ Treasury-Murex Profile
Roles and responsibilities:
• Leading the design of end-to-end solutions across Front-to-Back-to-Risk-to[1]Accounting, or “Change the Bank” initiatives, ensuring alignment with MX.3 capabilities and Treasury business needs.
• Conducting functional workshops with key stakeholders to gather requirements, challenge assumptions, and translate business needs into functional architecture.
• Designing scalable, upgradable and reusable solutions that integrate with the bank’s existing architecture, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic objectives.
• Providing expert input on the impact of new products, regulations, or structural changes on the Murex platform and surrounding systems.
• Defining business processes, identifying touchpoints between modules and systems, and validating them through prototyping or simulation where applicable.
• Supporting project delivery teams during build and test phases, ensuring the implemented solution meets business expectations.
• Acting as a point of contact between business and technical teams, ensuring seamless communication, traceability, and alignment.
• Advising on best practices related to data models, trade workflows, reporting structures, and integration standards in MX.3.
• Anticipating risks and downstream impacts by providing proactive architectural and functional guidance during design and implementation.
• Identifying involved systems, subsystems, and interfaces (new or impacted), and ensuring functional and non-functional requirements are addressed.
• Monitoring the implementation activities and streamlining delivery efforts by leveraging cross-functional and vertical domain expertise.
• Providing strategic advisory and ensuring seamless delivery through structured governance and oversight.
Skills and qualifications senior Murex Solution Architect with the following skills and qualifications:
• 15+ years of experience in Murex projects in banking environments.
• Depth expertise of Murex modules capabilities and customization options.
• Hands-on experience in designing, building and testing MX.3 solutions.
• Solid knowledge of financial products (FX, IRD, Bonds, Equities, Commodities, Structured Products).
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Islamic finance and the respective solutions in Murex.
• Deep expertise in risk management business processes including the latest regulations (Market risk, Credit risk, risk control, risk mitigation).
• Proficient in Murex integration components such as APIs, Datamart, and integration tools (MXML, MXML Exchange)
• Experienced in end-to-end system integration and data migration planning
• Strong understanding of Murex organization, licensing models, support structure, and product roadmap, enabling effective communication.
