
Job Title: Compliance Systems Analyst – Sanctions Screening & Data Analytics
Role Overview
The Compliance Systems Analyst is responsible for performing analytics and system enhancement activities related to customer and transaction data across compliance systems. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining a fit-for-purpose payment screening system, ensuring continuous system tuning to enhance the quality of alerts in alignment with global regulatory standards and internal compliance policies.
The position also involves preparing periodic management reports, supporting system improvement projects, and coordinating with technology and compliance teams to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of sanctions screening processes.
Key Accountabilities
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Adhere to all relevant departmental policies, procedures, and operating guidelines to ensure work is carried out in a consistent and controlled manner.
Continuous Improvement
Support the Compliance Technology and Data teams in identifying continuous improvement and sustainability opportunities within systems and processes.
Contribute to the execution of the compliance sanctions screening roadmap and keep relevant stakeholders informed of progress.
Collaborate with IT and other business units to design and implement fit-for-purpose compliance screening systems, including developing BRD/FSD documentation.
Coordinate and manage compliance-mandated sanctions screening projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective stakeholder communication.
Ensure comprehensive SIT/UAT cycles, including negative testing, are completed for every system enhancement.
Deliver user training to affected stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions during system go-lives.
Manage change requests and updates to payment screening platforms in coordination with IT, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements.
Continuously optimize algorithms, parameters, and rules to improve alert accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure all screening systems effectively operate against approved global and local sanctions lists.
Technology
Support the development of procedures and processes related to the implementation of compliance technology initiatives.
Assist in designing and reviewing system architectures for sanctions screening systems in coordination with business users.
Ensure robust UAT testing and post-implementation review processes.
Conduct regular system testing to validate data quality, model accuracy, and rule performance.
Manage change requests and system upgrades to maintain compliance with evolving regulatory standards.
Support system updates in response to risk assessments, audit findings, or regulatory feedback.
Data Analysis
Perform periodic testing of payment and customer screening systems to identify, assess, and remediate data or configuration gaps.
Conduct ongoing system tuning to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of screening outcomes.
Collaborate with compliance and technology teams to ensure appropriate configuration and performance of systems across various jurisdictions.
Provide technical and compliance support on system selection, configuration, and upgrades, ensuring alignment with sanctions and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Compliance.
Minimum Experience
At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, data management, or screening systems within compliance or financial services.
Familiarity with sanctions regulations and screening systems.
Strong technical knowledge of Firco Filter, Targeted Matching, Firco Continuity v6, matching algorithms, and scoring models.
Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages is an advantage.
