DevelopthegeneralservicesstrategybasedonthedepartmentStrategytoensuretheeffectivesourcing of the university’s services and
the management of its facilities for the enhancementoftheuniversity’sbusinessdelivery.
Develop the university’s general services
policies and processes in line with any Abu DhabiGovernment policies, standards and procedures and any other
local and internationalstandardsandto
ensureintegrityoftheprocessandoptimal cost efficiencies.
Develop the university’s policies and procedures
relating to health, safety, and security andensurethatthey arepublicized, adhered to,andregularly evaluated
Ensure the provision of support to the
respective Organizational Units in the development oftheir General Services Budgets and the enhancement of their
financial efficiencies as per theAbuDhabi GovernmentDirectives.
Manage the Outsourced Services contracts e.g.
manpower supply, cleaning, security etc.…and
any other Third-Party Contracts and ensure proper evaluation and optimal
delivery andperformanceandcomplianceas per thecontractualterms
Evaluate vendors to establish ability to meeting
standards required by University includingauditingvendorfacilitiestoassesscapabilityforlong-termpartnershipsandfinancialsoundness.
Ensure the provision of janitorial and watchman
services; cleaning, pest control services,where
applicable and monitor such activities to ensure that high standards are
Oversee the regular inspection and maintenance
of office buildings, and ensure their integrityin terms of safety, serviceability and highest norms of industry
standards.This includeschecking and approving contracts for
cleaning and maintenance work; participating in theselection of suitable contractors; approving major repairs and
changes to officeconfigurations;
monitoring the inspection and preventive maintenance of office and ancillaryarea systems and facilities; determining
appropriate standards for office decoration, fitting,finishingandfacilities;dealingwithcasesofabusesoftheUniversity’sproperty.
Ensure that the university facilities meet UAE
government regulations and environmental,health,securityandsafetystandards.
Oversee the development and update of the
emergency evacuation plans for the universitycampus andensure itis regularlytested.
Ensure that the concerned team members are
qualified and appropriately trained on healthandsafetymatters
Ensure continuous improvement across all
services of the Procurement and GS servicessection.
Undertakeanyotherrelatedduties as assignedby linemanager.
