JD IT Services Supplier onboarding lead
As an IT Services Supplier Onboarding Lead, your primary responsibility is to oversee the successful onboarding of new IT suppliers during the Delivery phase of a project or program.
As the IT Services Supplier Onboarding Lead some of your key responsibilities include:
1. Supplier Identification and Selection: Collaborate with the procurement team or project managers to identify potential IT suppliers who can fulfill the project’s requirements. Evaluate supplier proposals, conduct due diligence, and participate in the selection process.
2. Onboarding Planning: Develop a comprehensive onboarding plan including the handbook and checklists for each selected IT supplier, outlining the necessary activities, timelines, and deliverables. Coordinate with various stakeholders, such as the project team, legal department, and procurement, to ensure alignment.
3. Contract Negotiation and Documentation: Work closely with the legal department and procurement team to negotiate and finalize the contracts with the selected IT suppliers. Ensure that the contracts address key aspects such as scope, deliverables, timelines, pricing, service-level agreements (SLAs), and other relevant terms and conditions.
4. Onboarding Execution: Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process, interview key supplier or vendor personnel including activities such as knowledge transfer, site access, system access provisioning, training, and documentation exchange. Collaborate with the IT team and the supplier to establish effective communication channels and clarify expectations. Oversee onboarding of both onshore and offshore resources and confirm offshore site readiness.
5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with supplier onboarding and develop mitigation strategies. Regularly assess and monitor the progress of onboarding activities to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards. Address any issues or challenges that may arise during the onboarding process.
6. Relationship Management: Foster positive working relationships with the IT suppliers, project team members, and other stakeholders involved in the onboarding process. Facilitate regular meetings or status updates to track progress, address concerns, and maintain effective communication channels.
7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to the onboarding process, including contracts, checklists, and progress reports. Generate reports or presentations to update key stakeholders on the status of supplier onboarding activities.
8. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the supplier onboarding process and propose enhancements to streamline future onboarding efforts. Share lessons learned and best practices with the broader IT or project management teams.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Business Administration, Human Resource).
• Proven experience in Onboarding related activities.
• Ability to generate reports and keep leadership team informed of progress
• Strong knowledge of issues related to visas, transfer of personnel, no objection letters etc.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong risk management problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
