Role: Senior Solutions Architect (Everyday Banking)
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Duration: 12 Months (Extendable Contract, Long-term with Marc Ellis)
Job Summary:
The Senior Solution Architect (SSA) plays a dual-reporting role, working under the Head of Architecture and in
close alignment with the Delivery Head and Business Domain Leads. This position demands strong technical
expertise, leadership potential, and a solution-driven mindset. The SSA is responsible for designing and
overseeing robust, scalable architectures, particularly within the Everyday Banking – International Tribe,
including its systems, ecosystem integrations, and operational processes.
Domain Competencies:
• Develop and maintain real-time data architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Design and implement end-to-end real-time data solutions, including data ingestion, processing, and
analytics.
• Collaborate with the Information Security team to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability
of the bank’s data assets.
• Develop and design requirements for mobile apps and their associated ecosystem in consultation with
internal departments and subsidiaries.
• Utilize best practices for mobile app design, user interface, and overall architecture.
• Ensure that all designs are created according to internal development best practices and based on
user journeys, wireframes, and architectural patterns.
• 5+ years of experience designing mobile apps, microservices, and APIs.
• Must have participated in and/or led at least 3 projects involving the design and architecture of mobile
apps in conjunction with a microservices and API-based ecosystem.
Technical Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of real-time data processing technologies, including Kafka, Flink, and PySpark.
• Experience with building end-to-end design patterns and solutions.
• Experience integrating the mobile app ecosystem with technologies including, but not limited to,
mobile app microservices, containers/cloud-native technologies, event streams, APIs, message
brokers, and the like.
• Deep understanding of architectural patterns such as microservices, APIs, and mobile app
development.
• Good experience with enterprise architecture tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect) and data modeling
tools.
