Role: Software Engineer (SCF)

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Engagement: Contractual

Duration: 12 Months (Extendable, Long-term with Marc Ellis)

 

Job Summary:

 

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Supply Chain Finance) with strong domain expertise and hands-on implementation experience in SCF products. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in banking systems, enterprise application development, and modern cloud environments, with the ability to influence technical direction and ensure high-quality system design and delivery.

 

Education:

 

• Degree, Postgraduate in Computer Science or related field

Experience & Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Finance domain systems, with exposure to platforms such as Qualco Proxima, Finverity, Finastra, or similar SCF products
• Proven experience in implementation and customization of SCF solutions
• Strong expertise in Oracle 19c (SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, functions)
• Hands-on development experience with Java EE technologies (EJBs, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, JSF, Web Services)
• Solid understanding of middleware and infrastructure including JBoss, RHEL, Unix shell scripting
• Experience working in Azure Cloud environments
• Knowledge of web technologies including JavaScript and CSS
• Strong functional understanding of Supply Chain Finance and broader banking domain concepts
• Experience following best practices in coding, security, unit testing, and technical documentation
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
• Ability to contribute to and ensure robust technical and application architecture design

Soft Skills:

• Ability to influence and guide multiple technical teams through deep domain and technical expertise
• Highly self-driven, proactive, and capable of owning deliverables end-to-end with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including presenting technical concepts to senior and executive management
